If you prefer a blacked-out look over chrome, this is the OEM Piaggio answer. Same factory-built quality as the chrome version, same Italian construction, same mounting points, same fold-down cargo platform. Finished in matte black for riders who want a cleaner, more modern aesthetic on their GT, GTS, or GTV.

It works exactly the same way in practice. Fold it down when you need to carry something, fold it back up when you don't, and use it as a base for spotlights or extra mirrors if you're building out a more custom MOD inspired setup. The black finish tends to disappear into the front of the bike in a way that chrome doesn't, which a lot of riders really appreciate.

Worth being straightforward about the install: this one requires drilling, just like the chrome OEM version. You'll need to get into the horn cover area and make a permanent modification to your horn cover. It's not the most difficult job on a Vespa, but it's not a casual bolt-on either.
